There are two ways to Þingeyri:

• Southbound crossing of Dynjandisheiði mountain pass, through the new Dýrafjarðargöng tunnel. (387km)

• Northbound across Steingrímsfjarðarheiði mountain pass to the town of Ísafjörður and south to Þingeyri. (499km)

You can hire a car from the airport or take a bus.

The bus runs 2-3 times daily between Ísafjörður and Þingeyri, with a stopover in Fla.
