Every year a Christmas Eve party is held at the Þingeyri sports area. The children play in the gym, and Santa Claus brings a package. It is ideal to end the fun in the swimming pool in the same building. The party usually starts before noon and lasts for less than an hour.

A new tradition has been born with the opening of the Animal Fjord Tunnel. The plan is to hold a Christmas market at Dynjanda for the first time in 2023, where artisans and artists from all over the Westfjords will sell their products.

An open house is regularly held where residents and visitors can hear about the work of the local association and make their business known.
